A Goofy Movie: Ever-lovable Goofy takes his child, Max, on a street-trip vacation. However, it’s a lifestyle conflict between the ’90s boy and his old-styled dad. Easy and simple Disney animation characteristic for babies with a handful of serviceable melodies and a fine “message” in regards to dad-child relations. No Disney classic, although delightful enough. Cast includes Jason Marsden, Jim Cummings, Kellie Martin, Pillage Paulsen, Wallace Shawn, and Pat Buttra. (78 minutes, 1995)
Seven: Two detectives are in a desperate race to stop a serial killer. He is carrying out his killings, cryptically referencing one of the seven deadly sins in each killing. Things take an unexpected twist when the killer gives himself up, one sin short of completing his work. The stage is now set for the final act of the plan of this sick mastermind.
Addams Family Values: The Addams family is back again with all the ghouls in force. This time a beautiful woman plans to marry cousin ‘It’ to swindle him out of his money. Anjelica Huston, Raul Julia, Christopher Lloyd, Joan Cusack, and Christina Ricci star. (1993 comedy directed by Barry Sonnenfeld)
Dracula Dead and Loving It: Dracula gets the Mel Brooks treatment in this burlesque flick which invests so much time retelling the recognizable Transylvanian’s tale it forgets to be ludicrous. There are some good minutes for Brooks’ fans, but just not enough. Cast includes Leslie Nielsen, Peter MacNicol, Steven Weber, Amy Beck, Charlie Callas, and Anne Bancroft. (90 minutes, 1995)
Heartland Reggae: Shoddy documentary of ‘78 show remembering a visit to Jamaica by Haile Selassie. The music makes it worth watching. Cast includes Bob Marley and the Wailers, Peter Tosh, and Althea and Donna. (87 minutes, 1980)
Point Break: Johnny Utah, a rookie FBI agent, goes undercover, as a surfer, to infiltrate a suspicious group of surfers that might be responsible for a string of bank heists. He is taken in by the group, and learns the life of a surfer. When it’s time will Johnny Utah be able to take these criminals down.
Toy Story: A boy’s top choice toy, a dude doll identified Woody, feels bullied and properly so by the emergence of a new name day present, a high-tech spaceman model promoted on Television. A adult story masquerading as a baby’s film, this tale of kinship, fickleness, and the need for acceptance characteristics a vibrant cast of characters led by Woody and his adversary, Thrill Light-year.
